The Tolbert Family Singers were led by the unmistakable vocals of OC Tolbert and released one single in 1988 on MTF with ‘Ride The Gospel Train.’ Many thanks to our friends at Ace Records we’re happy to make this available once again on Cordial. The gravel throated lead by OC slays all whilst he rips over the top of a drum machine groove and wiry guitar licks. On the flip we’ve selected OC Tolbert’s ‘Give It Glory’ which appears on vinyl for the first time after previously only being available on Kent’s OC Tolbert’s ‘Black Diamond’s’ compilation CD.
